2016 CrossFit Games winner Mathew Fraser is back again this year to defend his title. Fraser takes 1st place in the Open this year. Will he go on to win the Games again? Stay tuned!
2nd and 3rd place finishers were Noah Ohlsen and Alex Vigneault. Ohlsen, however, has said he will NOT be competing in Regionals. Why? Because he’s joining Drake on tour, of all things! He was hired as Drake’s personal trainer, and couldn’t say no to the opportunity.
Other major news in the Men’s Individual category—Despite a retirement announcement in 2014, Rich Froning Jr. is competing in the CrossFit Games once again. He came in 11th in the Open.
