Did you know…
that the human body is over 60% water? Needless to say, drinking plenty of fluids throughout the day helps maintain and replenish your water levels. It’s been said that the body can survive three weeks without food, but only three days without water. Proper hydration is essential for things like muscle function, joint and brain protection, immune health, digestion and even mood. And, studies show that staying hydrated can also reduce high blood pressure, fight fatigue and leave your skin feeling rejuvenated.
Keep in mind that drinks like soda, sweet and sugary juices, tea and coffee are not substitutes for water. Out of the adult population in the U.S., about 83% drinks coffee. If you happen to be in the majority, just be sure you’re counteracting it with enough water.
